Field Day 2025 Welcomes You!

The ARA will hold this year's Field Day at Leitersburg Ruritan Park in Leitersburg, MD.

The ARA will follow the highly successful setup procedures of 2024, with a few tweaks here and there from lessons learned. We plan to have access to, and take stock of, Washington County's Emergency Communications trailer early Friday afternoon, and the rest of the setup for Field Day  later that afternoon.

This setup will be followed by a final round of tweaking and radio setup Saturday morning.

The Dinner

Saturday’s dinner is scheduled for 5P, but is not set in stone. We will stray away from our traditional Fried Chicken dinner and instead opt for pizza and snacks. This year the club will provide:

• Pizza of various styles and flavors
• Chips/Pretzels
• Disposable plates, cups, napkins, etc…
• Concerning drinks themselves, that is still a little up in the air, so for now, plan to bring your own beverage (but we are getting together with those in the know to try and figure things out more fully)

What can I bring?

Members may bring whatever items they choose to help supplement the chicken and sides – desserts, snacks, cookies, cakes, pies, etc… All are welcome and appreciated!  Those items that don’t require refrigeration are best suited, but we are not restricting what members decide to bring for Saturday’s dinner.

Throughout the day the ARA will provide:

• Water
• Sodas of assorted varieties  (this is also being checked, and will be updated ASAP)
• Ice

It is the time of the year that nearly all hams looks forward to – partially because of the chance to stretch their rigs' legs and/or try out new antennas, but mainly because of the shared experiences and fellowship with their fellows operators.

This year, Field Day 2025, operations will encompass June 28 & 29, beginning at 2 PM ET (1800 UTC) Saturday and continuing for 24 hours until 2 PM ET (1800 UTC) Sunday.
