Setup begins 7AM
Volunteering for the 'Fest!
The tailgate event opens at 8AM, and closes about noon. Setup for tailgaters/other setup begins at 7AM. We are looking for ARA members (or friends of the club who may not be members) who are interested in helping during this year's TailGateFest. Some of you may remember that last year, the TailgateFest and the Wings & Wheels event (another very popular and very worthwhile venture) took place on the same day, which caused alot of scheduling difficulties for many. This year, however, that is not the case, so feel free to volunteer, knowing that your time will not be split!

Current News About the 'Fest
- $5 for General Admission (children 12 and under are free)
- $5 per 8' Tailgate space -- this price also includes one General Admission
- All Tailgating is OUTDOORS (no inside activities)
- BYOT (Bring Your Own Tables)
- Tailgating Spaces sold on First Come, First Serve basis
- Restrooms available inside the church
- No Weapons/Ammo/Pornographic materials permitted
- No alcohol or drugs permitted
- Commercial vendors responsible for following state and local laws
Things that are different this year are:
- No Advanced Registrations to Tailgaters
- No Prize Drawings
- FOOD CONCESSIONS WILL BE ON-SITE! We are very fortunate and excited to have the same food vendor that we had for the 2024 Great Hagerstown Hamfest in May back with us this fall.
Advanced Registrations
Earlier this year, the ARA membership determined that we would not offer advanced registrations this year to try and more closely follow the K.I.S.S. principal; as we worked on the flyer it became reasonably clear that advance registration may be missed by multi-space tailgaters and vendors. With that in mind, we are going to talk about early registrations again at our next meeting. This space will be adjusted accordingly.
In the meantime, if you want to get in on an advanced registration, follow the instructions below:
- Pay By Check -- Do Not Send Cash!
- Make check payable to Antietam Radio Association
- Include
- Name or Company name
- Email address
- Number of spaces to reserve
- Check
- Mail your check to:
Antietam Radio Association Post Office Box 52 Hagerstown, MD 21741-0052
- If received before Labor Day, we will send an email receipt for you to print and bring
- If received after Labor Day, you will pickup your tickets at the venue
