Winter Dinner 2026

Join us for our annual ARA Winter Dinner this Saturday, February 21, at the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42!

Important Note on Food:
Please be advised that formal reservations for the buffet are now closed. However, if you did not get a reservation in time, you are still more than welcome to join us! You may order individually from the American Legion menu and dine with the group.

The Program:
After dinner, we have a fantastic presentation lined up regarding a DXpedition to the Ascension Islands. It promises to be a fascinating look at long-distance operating from a unique corner of the world. 

We look forward to a great night of food, fellowship, and radio!

Details:

• When: Saturday February 21, 2026, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
   
• Where: Morris Frock American Legion Post 42
              405 Northern Ave, Hagerstown MD
  The dinner will be in the back Dining Room, the same location as our monthly pre-meeting gatherings.  Enter the main entrance (press the doorbell if it's locked). Turn right and go to the lounge. Continue past the far end of the bar, around the corner to the left and through the doors into the big dining room.
   
• Food Service:
  • Buffet, including entrees, side dishes, dessert and beverages.
     
• Menu:
  • Entrees: Broasted chicken, meatballs
  • Side Dishes: Salad, whipped potatoes, gravy, vegetable (corn), rolls and butter
  • Dessert: Red velvet cake
  • Beverages: Coffee or tea
     
• Bar Service: A server will be available for bar service. Patrons pay their own bar tabs. Please remember to tip your server separately for your bar tab.
   
• Cost: $30.00 per person (includes tip).
   
• Reservations: (RESERVATIONS NOW CLOSED)
  • There are no event tickets.
  • Please pay at the dinner by cash or check (payable to Antietam Radio Association).  
  • To place your reservation:

    • You can also make reservations by phone (please leave a voice message if no answer) or text to: (240) 818-1248.
       
• Deadline:
  • All reservations must be received no later than Midnight (24:00) Thursday February 5, 2026.
  • Reservations may be revised up until this date
  • Reservations are non-refundable after this date.
     
• Late or Tentative Reservations
  Please note that the February 5 cutoff date for reservations is for buffet dinner planning and preparation. If you would like to attend but are uncertain at this point, you can still attend (up to the facility limit of 63), but you will need to order off of the restaurant menu and pay separately. If this is the case please let me know by email. WA8EIH@ARRL.NET.
