Welcome to Field Day 2024

The ARA will follow the highly successful setup procedures that we first tested in 2021, and followed again in 2022 and 2023; we plan to setup the antennas Friday a little earlier in the day -- we are hoping to solidify this during this Tuesday's meeting -- which is a big change from our more traditional Saturday morning full setups.

Beginning the setup earlier on Friday will allow a little extra time testing, re-configuring, and re-testing throughout the day – followed by a final round of tweaking and radio setup Saturday morning. We hope to begin Friday’s setup June 21, at or around 9 or 9:30 9AM; stay tuned!! Saturday setup begins June 22 promptly at 9AM.

The Dinner

Saturday’s dinner is scheduled for 5P, but is not set in stone. It may be a bit earlier/later, depending on members' needs and desires. The club will provide:

• Fried Chicken
• Mac and Cheese
• Baked Beans
• Potato Wedges
• Cole Slaw
• Macaroni Salad
• Chips/Pretzels
• Disposable plates, cups, napkins, etc…

What can the members bring?

Those items that don’t require refrigeration are best suited, but we are not restricting what members decide to bring for Saturday’s dinner.

Throughout the day the ARA will provide:

• Water
• Sodas of assorted varieties
• Ice

It is the time of the year that nearly all hams looks forward to – partially because of the chance to stretch their rigs' legs and/or try out new antennas, but mainly because of the shared experiences and fellowship with their fellows operators.

The Antietam Radio Association will hold its Field Day at the Leitersburg Ruritan Park, in Leitersburg, MD.

This year, Field Day 2023, operations will encompass June 22 & 23, beginning at 2 PM ET (1800 UTC) Saturday and continuing for 24 hours until 2 PM ET (1800 UTC) Sunday.
